Gesture Drawing Class: week 12

The 12th week was our final session. I really enjoyed the class and felt it was a very constructive experience. It was a challenge at times but I've realized that it is part of the process.

Gesture Drawing Class: week 11

For the 11th Gesture Drawing session we got a really great model. This particular model is able to hold dramatic poses well. It was a really fun exploration in character and story.

Gesture Drawing Class: week 10

We had a great model and theme for the 10th session. It was a challenge to try to interpret the model's sheer material of her outfit in a drawing.

For the 9th session we were to asked to continue exploring different mediums. The poses the model took were very dramatic

For the 8th session I did some further exploration with different markers. The theme was African tribal warrior. The costume was pretty epic as well as the poses.

Gesture Drawing Class: week 7

For the seventh session I wasn't sure whether or not I would still be in a slump. I decided I was just gonna try to have some fun and not worry so much. I wanted to give the drawings some character, story and environment. I also thought I'd try using markers. By the end of the session I wasn't sure I'd still be in a slump. I guess I'd have to work on a few things for the next couple weeks

Gesture Drawing Class: week 6

I was in a bit of a slump for the sixth session. I was having trouble getting the rhythms and life of the figure right in my drawings. Which is why I only have one drawing up here and I'm not even content with it. So it seemed I had to struggle once more to convey life in my drawings.
